Light filled, hot days; cool evening breezes; a room by the sea; the call of morning seagulls; mulberry granita with brioche; a beautiful painting attributed to van Dyke in the Church of San Lorenzo; a dosing poodle in a near empty pew of San Lorenzo as a small group of women recited the evening rosary; and perfumed rose petals scattered on the street outside; a quiet walk along La Mura della Tramontana at sunset.
