The vibrant colours of the season's produce at Polizzi Generosa's weekly market; one June Wednesday 2015:

Deep radicchio red; striking aubergine purple; dark zucchini green; sun filled pepper yellow; pale 'asparagus green' and the colours of the tomatoes; a fresh green and a true 'tomato red'.

Polizzi's market, held under the shady trees of Piazza Giacomo Matteotti (also known as Piazza Del Carmine) just in front of the Church (Chiesa del Carmine), is on every Wednesday morning.

This was a warm and sunny market day.
