More about Palazzo Notar Nicchi

The house has two entrances. The main entrance is from Via Garibaldi and the second is from the back street Via Notar Nicchi  through Piazza Sant'Orsola.

As you enter the first level, from Via Notar Nicchi and Piazza Sant'Orsola, through iron gates and up polished concrete stairs you are ushered into a level of interconnecting rooms entered through high chestnut doors – frescoed ceilings, terracotta floors, balconies and shuttered doors.

The mix of modern Italian and some Sicilian antique furniture and modern appliances creates a comfortable level of living and sleeping. The entry door from the Via Garibaldi entrance is painted in a Sicilian green and leads into stairs tiled in local stone from The Madonie and into a frescoed entry hall. It is also on the first level.

The second level of the house is entered through an elegant entry room and has a light, open feel with generous sized bedrooms and a sitting room which opens to a large iron balcony which overlooks the village main street.

All floors are tiled in Sicilian handmade tiles and their warmth against the white walls creates a Sicilian ambience. The top level, reached by stairs of local stone, has 2 spacious sitting rooms. The terrace, off the open well equipped modern kitchen, is open to the sky and is furnished with chaise lounges, dining table and chairs and generous shade umbrellas.
